I wonder if this is true for some of the other "fixed" bugs that are popping up again.
* The game fairly often crashes a few seconds after you enter the yard. A white dialog saying "Fatal error!" and an "OK" button, clicking it drops you back to the desktop. Happens with DX11 and DX12.
* On the MV SOTO, several parts at the top of the ship are both unwinchable and uncranable. Hovering over a cranable part tells me all the connectors have been removed, attempting to crane it tells me I have not broken all the connectors. The uppermost winchable part starboard does not highlight with any of the winches.
* Because of the above, I cannot remove the lifeboats on either side, and other cranable items cannot be reached because I can't remove the hull segment near them.
* The new odd shaped deck parts will often not allow you pick them up, and they need to be collected by pointing at something near them and then they get collected as well. Not always possible.
* Even when given a green path for throwing a crate, the crate still hits something when thrown and spins off elsewhere.
* The lock picking mechanic gets very tedious very quickly. The pick breaking animation does not work properly.
* Every time I load the game the truck loses all but 350kg of whatever I've put it in. I'm mostly using skips at the moment, but it's still rather annoying.
* There are still issues with floating parts. I carefully cut round a large section at the front, above where there are about 8 cranable machines all next to each other and... nothing. It just didn't collapse even though there was clear air all around it. Randomly basing chunks off it eventually made it give in to gravity.
* There are 4 (that I've found so far) connectors that are almost entirely hidden behind ribs. Only found them by luck.
* Connectors connecting to nothing on one side still need to be cut.
Hi Diesel, I've replied to you a few times now - have you tried the solution I posted?
That's about where I'm at, 2/3 contracts completed and now I can't even be in game for 30 seconds without a UE4 fatal error.
1) Re-verify Steam files
2) go into Options and make sure that Physics is set to the very maximum possible ("Very High")
3) if that fails, load a slightly older save and try to avoid dropping huge sections at once.
If Physics isn't on the top setting, there are crashes when a large number of objects fall. There are sometimes other crashes too, but that's one that's definitely repeatable. And the Floating Cities ships *really* reward dropping huge sections at once, which is not good for this issue.
Tested out all options, Game ist still crashing with Fatal error. Absoulutly unplayable.
