So I can't even play it.

Every time I go to play Trials it sets up like it's going to open the game and I just get this.

Does anyone know what may be causing this and how to solve it?

Hello -=GHS=- Dead End,
Your game seems to be crashing at launch of the game since that window should only appear when game closes.

To start off if you can please send your crash report to [e-mail]
you can find the file at this location:
\Users\[username]\Documents\Ubisoft\Trials Evolution Gold Edition\CrashReport

Other things you can do is trying to Re-install Uplay.

If you got the game from steam
-> Verify integrity of game cache by doing the following steps:
1) Go to library
2) Right click on Trials Evolution Gold
-> Properties
3) Go to local Files
4) Verify integrity of game cache

(This will take few minutes to complete)

Also make sure you have the latest drivers installed

I tried uninstalling as well as verifying and neither worked. As for sending a crash report, there's 16 different crash reports so it's kinda hard. What now?

what system do you have? maybe it's not working cause you have windows xp or something like that

Alright, please do let me know how I can fix this because I played it at a friend's place and it's a great game.

I am having a similar problem. After installing the game, It ran first time setup etc.
-But it doesn't even come up with a crash report, first time setup just disappears, and I end up staring at my Steam library waiting for something to happen. (but it never does)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I was having the same problem... tried the demo... worked perfectly!!... bought game from here, steam, and launched the game and Uplay began to install from steam launch... after installation I had to create an Uplay account... clicked Play from Uplay Game window and game kept loading ok till it got to the games Main Menu and just minimized itself... when I tried to maximize the game window again... it would just show for a second and flicker back to minimized...

I finaly got the game to work after reading a number of posts on the net and uninstalled Uplay... downloaded Uplay from there own site... signed in to Uplay... but when Uplay user panel showed up there was no games in My Games section... so I launched the game this time from Steam... and steam did not try to install Uplay this time around it just launched and started updating my account... the game showed up... I hit play and all was working perfectly sound!!

hmmm.... still having the same problem... even after installing the new nvidia driver (320.18)
the only way I can play the game is to keep shuting the game down and relaunching it till it does work... once it stays on the main menu screen the game plays perfect with no issues at all... odd

I get the same thing, although it happens when I get to the start screen and press enter (or any other button). The game boots up as it should, plays the horrible intro song and shows the logos, then it flashes to desktop for a second before arriving on the start screen. And it crashes every time I try to continue.

The weird thing is, It used to work. I've played a lot, and then this started happening a week or so ago. I've tried reinstalling everything except for steam, but nothing works. I've tried compability mode, safe mode in uplay, etc. I have the latest nvidia drivers, but that doesn't seem to matter.

Starting to get really pissed.

I did. I reverted back to the 314.22 drivers. Although, if you need to play new games, I wouldn't recommend doing it. It would be better to just wait for Nvidia and/or Ubisoft to fix their ♥♥♥♥.

Well, at least I only got the demo. I think i'll just uninstall uPlay and give this game a miss.
