Hotaru and the different colored orbs.

Is there actually a gameplay difference between the red, blue and green orbs when playing as Hotaru? It seems like all they do is change the sword attack color but no mechanical gameplay difference.

Press the shoot button multiple times, Hotaru will shoot arrows, the attack type will be different depends on the color you get.

Ah okay, makes sense, I never really used her special attack much because the other character's special attacks conditioned me to set those up pre-emptively while Hotaru's special attack is very reactive.

I used her...uh, defensive sword whirl a lot instead.
