NO VOICE DURING CONVERSATIONS? SOLUTION HERE!!!
Thanks to Bate and his anonymous friend, a solution was found. Finally, FINALLY we can pass mission 3. :)

Go into your Steam Library, select The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. Right Click it and choose PROPERTIES. Go to the LANGUAGE tab, and change the language. Bate's local language is German, it works for him, text in German, voice in English. I set it to French, thats my local tongue. Same thing, French text, English voice.

Maybe changing it to any other language will do, maybe game is detecting the language that your OS is installed in (Not English) and it's messing things up. Either way, it's a fix.

I've notified Activision, maybe they can tweak it. I'd really rather the text was in english.

it doesnt worl for me :s its anoying the hell out of me im dying to play the game but cant do so without voices lol

This works for me, turning the menu into german. however, I need english speech + menu.

funny thing is when looking online for a solution I came across some comments underneath a torrent for the cracked version and supposedly you can change some setting in the crack and then it works. I think it's funny people whole play the illegal version are enjoying their game right now but we who payed are not :(

The German language trick is useless to me because I don't speak German, I'm Dutch...

The menu will be german, but they SPEAK english when you do it (or french/spanisch) those 3 languages are teached in holland so you might get your way around 1 of them.
If you don't please keep us posted, altho the german menu + english voice works, I HATE IT
