800x600 is not that cool on a huge screen...

just go to the config file located here: C:\Program Files\WorldOfGoo\properties\config.txt
and change the values to one that fits your screen resolution

There is a settings file in a subdirectory of the game's main directory:
Properties/config.txt

This has the options to change screen resolution and refresh rate, among other things.

You can't test the settings so don't go and fry your monitor or video card. *smirk*
Generally you should use settings you've tested in a control panel.

As a note, full resolution on some computers may result in framerate loss on some of the more complicated levels. If you experience this, I recommend switching to a lower resolution of the same aspect ratio as your full resolution.

Ok, I have a windows 8 computer, and every time I go into world of goo, this message appears bugging me to change my game resolution and make it higher. It says I need it to be 1920x1080. I tried the first two anseweres in this post and they didn't work. Then I tried accessing the files via %appdata%, but that didn't work either. Need help!

The mention of where to fix the resolution worked for me (so long as I type in numbers that are correct). So thanks to those who mentioned it.

I was kind of illed by 800x600, so I changed it to 1440x900 (even though native is 1680x1050 and it runs fluid at that). I went with slightly lower res, because the text started to get too small to read ;)

Editing the config file works well. I play it fullscreen at 1280 x 720 even though my native laptop screen is 1366 x 768. It works fine with both resolutions but the slightly lower resolution shows a little more of the game area without scrolling which I prefer.
