World of Goo 2 will be DRM-free and available on WorldOfGoo2.com. No need for unEpic!
Just a lil PSA for those who saw the unEpic logo on their website and thought WOG2 will be an exclusive (like me in the first moment).

Official website states: "Where can I get it?
On launch day, World of Goo 2 will be available for Nintendo Switch, Win, Mac, and Linux.
---> WorldOfGoo2.com - right here, for Win / Mac / Linux, DRM-free"

Yes! :)
Just bought it and the purchase from the website is actually done via Humble. That's fine by me since I've bought plenty of bundles from them over the years and it all stays in one archive.

If its through Humble I wonder if they could add a steam key later on after it releases here in a year or whatever the exclusivity time frame is.

Thank you:steamthumbsup:
the sinking ship of humble bundle is not exactly an attractive alternative to epic games at this point in time

Why is it sinking? Humble Bundle and Humble Games are not the same thing.
Also, it's used as payment processor. Do they even host the files?

ign buying humble bundle means that they can play around with what games can be on the platform and what ways to get them.

they do host the files. of course they host the files. what would be the point if they didn't host the files? setting up a payment processor is the easy part of game distribution, managing user accounts and file hosting is the hard part.

their quality of service is just generally getting more mediocre and obviously the business model of sooper cheep games has a cap on it. bundles aren't so good anymore. the store generally isn't worth using over steam or gog. they keep switching up how you access games you buy directly through them and it generally sucks. it is simply inconvenient.

Setting up AWS CloudFront CDN or Cloudflare CDN account is as easy as signing up a payment processor. Maybe even easier because you don't need to do KYC.

Only point of not releasing on Steam is to cut cost on fees. Epic Games exclusivity for 6 months means 0 fees. Getting rid of 30% of the Steam fees and paying 25% to Humble Bundle instead is pretty dumb because Steam sells way more than Epic and Humble combined. So, one would assume they would host themselves because what would be the point otherwise?

i mean the point is probably that humble bundle is the only thing they could get epic to let them sell on for whatever their exclusivity period is, and whatever cost you think is involved in distributing it with their own home-grown system, they (and plenty of others) have done the math over and over and it doesn't work out. you're underestimating the time investment as well as the cost for small-time distributors.

I don't buy from crappy third wepsites. No to mention Humble bundle is in truble so f* that.

I'm full Steam/GOG only for PC, the rest is just trash. I have more than 2k games on PC alone so i can wait 1 year more for the steam version.
