Half life 3?

every one who has played half life knows that it is great and crave for episode 3 which may or may not be in production but most likely there will be another half life, on account of good comments plays and ratings stoping production of the half life series woul be a bad idea. most of the half life episode 3 trailers r fake but does not mean there wont be one its even possible it wont be anothere episode it could be a completely new campaign.

Gabe Newell recently announced Valve are working on next-generation Source Engine 2 and has claimed to "roll out a game with the engine". He mentions "Riochet 2" which is probably a codename for "Half Life 3" by the fan's perspective.

If that is the case, show us some real evidence. Gabe have said(in his surprise birthday where people from the game section of 4chan surprised him) that they had been working on "engine stuff" for quite a while now, and are looking for a new game to launch with it. This does not nessesarily mean HL3, but it is most likely, atleast in my opinion. But there is no evidence for that it really will be HL3.

The episode system was made so they(Valve) could quickly and efficiently put out new half life games. Considering the huge wait time we have had for the next episode, it is more likely that it will be Half-Life 3.

I've seen and heard a few things about HL3, this link has a vid with Gabe(for anyone who's not seen it), link name says it all...(kinda long but starts funny for tf2 players)

Its valve. It probably will work, but idk, Half life for me is like you keep walking to some destination, like you don't always know where, but you just keep walking by instinct. For me, HL3 seems better if it kept the old formula, but you know, it might be better than it seems after all. Just expressing my opinion here.

Well i have heard that tf2, left 4 dead, half life, and portal all occur in the same universe
so while gordon is killing combine, ellis is being slamed by a charger. something like that.
