Half Life 2 Shadows and Lighting Glitch (please help!)

I've been playing through Half-Life 2 again, and I've encountered a glitch where ALL shadows and lighting have been disabled leaving the levels with a very washed-out look to them. I am pretty sure this has to do with a message I get when I start the game that says my video card (Mobile Intel HD graphics) isn't compatible. Thing is, when I start a new game, all the proper graphics are enabled. Anything I can do to remedy this?

You have to install to "Steam/steamapps/your username/Half-Life 2/hl2/maps"

These are the old Black Mesa East, Highway 17, Sandtraps and Nova Prospekt maps, before the update that crashed them. I'm sure your problem is with one of these chapters, right?

Absolutely. The glitch started in Black Mesa East, and after reloading, seemed to fix itself. Ravenholm was fine. The glitch returned just as I was exiting the tunnel at the very end of Ravenholm. I'm gonna try and install this file and see how it works. Thank you VERY much for your help!
