Keep off the sand! achievement broken?

I did pretty much what the achievement called for, and more. I went through the entire sandtrap area, front to end, even the boss fight, and never touched any sand. Even managed to drop the boss antlion without touching sand.

However, the achievement did not unlock.

Anyone else experience this, or maybe I am doing something wrong?

Before boss fight should achieve this. Or maybe you used cheats in earlier part of the game.

I experienced that too. I don't know why does this happen.

Check from youtube do you make something wrong.

No cheats being used, since I am getting other achievements.

I achieved this a few days ago without any problems.

it's sensitive as hell. You get the achievement (if i recall correctly) as you climb the rocks on the way up to the antlion guard (bossfight), however the slightest rumble and you're denied it. I was forced to do it a number of times.

Did not get so much as a rumble. If I ever got a single rumble, I reloaded the save. And I did a ton of saves.

Last resort. Go back to a previous save before that level loads in (sorry to say) sounds like a bug is in the map, sometimes a clean load in from the previous map section usually shakes it loose (so that would be just after the gunship battle at the lighthouse right? some times maps intialise a little incorectly, running backwards and fowards over map threholds doesn't quite do it either). But if you are going straight for the achievements then it's not a big issue to jugt load up the chapter and grind your way through ;)

I tried getting it 4 hours ago, it took me 2 tries..

I think the problem might occur when using flat objects to bridge the sand instead of hopping across rock pillars in that first section before you get to the teeter-totter bridge puzzle. For the last part of the beach, use those huge wooden crates instead of the sheet metal and/or pallets.

Also failed to get the achievement - i used planks the whole way. Are planks not enough?

Then again, maybe i accidentally touched sand but not enough to summon antlions?

Multiple attempts to get this achievement including deleting all saves and auto-saves and starting the game from the start. Very frustrating. Getting through Ravenholm without a weapon is child's play compared to this!!!!!!
