Firstly: It's not outdated, its just been around for a long time. The graphics are even better than some games today. Secondly: Lame? Have you ever even played Half-Life before?

I agree, this game will stay solid for maybe 50 years from now because of the stunning AI and the landscape, even though the graphics are outdated it's still my #1

I'm mostly a console gamer. I'm finally close to finishing the game for the first time. HL2 is a masterpiece. This game revived PC gaming. I remember back then, every other month gaming sites and publications were declaring the death of PC gaming. Then, HL2 happened and everyone shutup basically. HL2 is sort of a The Matrix for gaming!

The reason we still play it is because we are still in some way a fan of this wonderful game. For the people who played it back on the original xbox console, it was considered a huge leap foward in gaming. For me, playing this game now brings a very nastalgic feeling and is still very captivating in terms of its AI, graphics and even character development. This game offered innovation and entertainment and in return its fans have stuck with it and have kept the Half life legacy alive.
