Do I need Half Life 1 or 2 to play Black Mesa?

I am not sure which game I need. I know Black Mesa is a remake of the 1st game. I don't have either games, so which one do I need for Black Mesa?

You need HL2 and the Source 2007 Development Kit.

I think you just need the Source SDK Base 2007 and that's it.

Source sdk 2007. I would reccomend waiting for the steam release though, it will be free but better.

You just need to have source game! if you have a source game you have the source sdk 2007

What would work? you're posting about CS on a 3 year old thread. If you're asking about black mesa then no, you need source sdk 2007.
