Do I have Both Episodes?
Sorry for being such a noob, but I just finished the game this morning. Did I complete Both episodes, or is this game just episode one, and Lost Coast is episode 2?

New to the series >_>/

because lost coast is not a episode. you have
Half Life 2
Half Life 2 Episode 1
Half Life 2 Episode 2

Lost coast is just a part from half life 2 that was not used, i think it was supposed to be in after or before highway 17.

lost Coast is a cut level from Half-Life 2. It's non-canon, which means it never actually happend.

To further iterate what you've probably discovered is yes you need to buy episode 1 and 2,
Episode 1 features you attempting to make a mad escape from City 17, and episode 2, takes place somewhere that is not city 17. Each episode has newer technologies and more pretty things and a few new enemies but most importantly, it continues the story.

Lost Coast in its current form was released as a HDR (High Dynamic Range Rendering) demo, featuring a map that was cut from the game, its meant to showcase a particular kind of lighting technology (HDR).

Sooooo...I'm guessing you didn't buy the Orange Box then.

Nope. A friend gave me a bundle that included Half Life 2 and Half Life 2: Lost Coast.

But now I'm so hooked that I'm itching to get the next 2 episodes. Thanks to the help guys!

Lost coast is a cool tech demo made from cut level from Highway 17 chapter. But it's short - half a hour.
BTW.gordon and alyx didnt die in the end of half-life 2. The vortigaunts saved alyx. And yes you need to buy the episodes. Episode one takes place in city 17 and the town is like every man for himself. And in episode 2 you are in a crashed train in the mountains that was leaving from city 17. So episode 2 is all in the mountains, caves, and some other places

Why bump this thread?

When I first read this obviously fake info, I found it hilarious (that Loast Coast was HL2 ep3, NOT HL3 ep3), since I'm a HL fan. Sorry if my joke was misanderstanding.

To the topic, @The Naginata, if you're planning to by one of the episodes, I suggent you to by both. They're exellent, but too short. As for Lost Coast, I don't think there's anything related to the HL story (correct me if I'm wrong).
