Chell is Alyx?

Ok so my idea is that chell from portal is actually alyx from half life 2.Thoughts?

BTW. Portal and Portal 2 both take place in the Half-Life Universe.

Wasn't Chell already in Aperture labs during the events of Half-Life 2? I think the order of things in the HL universe's timeline is Portal>Half-Life 2>Portal 2. And Chell spent quite a bit of that sleeping, didn't she? So, no, it can't be her, she was locked away and safely tucked up in bed, methinks.

That is probably the correct timeline, though I think the next installment in the Half=Life series will clear it up for sure.

Chell from Portal is Pat Butcher from Eastenders. Oops, sorry, my mistake, I think she's just Chell.

Chell was in stasis throughout all of the half life events, and chell is the daughter of caroline and cave johnson, while alyx is the daughter of eli and her mother, whose name isn't known. Also, the only time that Chell left the facility, everyone from half life would be dead. Last but not least, ALYX CAN TALK.

Actually, Aperture Laboratories is the competitor of Black Mesa Research Facilty, and the Gravity Gun is the opposite of the Portal Gun. So, Half-Life and Portal are from different realities.

Possibly Chell is a neice or similar of Azian Vance, but unlikely. It would be an interesting twist to the Half-Life/Portal storyline.

It's always a possibility. But there's no reason, really, for Valve to tie the two stories together so neatly. I like the idea of Portal just being another entry into the HL universe, not neccessarily directly related to Gordon Freeman's escapades.

Wait, didn't you just contradict yourself? They're competitors yet they're from different realities, how's that possible?

Half-Life and Portal definitely take place in the same universe. I thought everybody knew about that already. Black Mesa is mentioned in Portal's ending theme, and Borealis in Portal 2 ties the two series together quite neatly. It doesn't mean their stories have to be somehow connected but I think it's clear there is at least some connection.
