hl2 update broke the game

i dont played much on new update but it d1_transition_02 on main streets scanners bumping in each other and there is no citizens maybe far in the game there is more problems (idk maybe i have dementia but on start of the same map there was no doors before update or doors even existed in that place?)

If you load the map from console. Doors does not spawn.
When you play "normally", they does spawn.

There's no map with that name. Do you mean d1_trainstation_02? I saw people walking around and no scanners bumped into each other (if you're talking about the square when you first see The Citadel).

How dare they update and fix their old games for free.

You can revert it to the old version via the beta path (select pre 20th anniversary update): https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Betas#For_the_Beta_version_of_the_game

Be happy that Valve even do that.
No gaming company out there at that size offers access to old versions of their games.

Try limiting your FPS using fps_max. That sometimes fixes weird ♥♥♥♥ happening in older games that aren't really supposed to run at 1 billion fps on an RTX graphics card.

Yeah i think they broke something with the Gnome from EP2 ,

That thing can send you flying for no reason at all , it happened to me once

The gnone was inside the car , the jalopy , it fell , so i´ve left to pick it up and i got launched;

Nope, I had that bug before this anniversary update in my old savegame file from 2012. I even loaded that old save using this new build, and the bug was still there. You step on the gnome lying on the ground, you fly.

yeah i know that you can change version of game but still updates like that brokes some mods and other things why just cant let game go

because mods are not official and i want the games improved/patched, all the mods still work fine, just get you old version.

Dude it was a new save , i´ve deleted my previous ones;

When i´ve completed EP2 in 2023 , the gnome din´t launched me , so... whats that huh?

Why din´t they fixed this issue? Its pretty noticable if you gotta do the second hard achivement on the game , and it doesn´t help the fact that you gotta carry that thing all the way to white forest inside the Jalopy , they should´ve put a metal bar to place the gnome inside to avoid it launching you as soon it fells from the car
