Subtitles for developer comments?

I'm wondering if there's a way to enable language subtitles for developer comments. Hopefully it will be possible to read subtitles for developer comments.

Closed captions for the HL2 commentary nodes are only available in English.

I remember playing Episode 1 with nodes subtitled in my language as well.
Hopefully someday a community patch will translate it to other languages.

That's big disappointment for me that I don't have commentary mode in my language, but well,I know my english well enough, so it is time to swap game language.

Subtitles for the new HL2 commentary have not yet been translated to other languages.
If your game interface is using a language other than English, you can view the English subtitles by temporarily changing the "closed caption" language using a developer console command:
cc_lang english
To set subtitles back to default (same language as the interface), use:
cc_lang ""

p.s. On Steamdeck, enable the console using the launch option: -console

AFAIK, subtitles disappear when you have too many mods (40+?) for some reason. Try disabling them and see if that brings back your captions.

I don't have any mod. I think I should wait for someday some modder to add Spanish subtitles or for it to happen through official support. I'll wait for that update.
