Severe lag on linux mint
whenever i start the game on linux, it severely lags, so much so i'm unable to click the menu buttons, using the proton version runs somewhat better, but it is still very laggy
specs: Linux Mint 21.3. GeForce RTX 3070 & Intel Core i7-8700K

Game crashed in the main menu when I tried to change graphics settings(I'm on Debian). This whole 20th anniversary update seems to be Half-Baked. Also still has virtually NO Surround sound support on Linux.

Arch user here (btw) on KDE Wayland. Having the same exact issue. Got an RTX 3060 and Ryzen 7 5700G, though.

Have the patches helped any? I jumped on pretty soon after the anniversary update, probably no more than one patch later, and it ran fine for me. And I'm on an old laptop. Maybe it's an Nvidia problem? The laptop has an AMD GPU on a daughterboard.

nah, still runs like ♥♥♥♥ :(
To be honest the whole update was kinda just Half-Baked. I mean, I don't think I've seen so many bugs and issues reported before. And they've taken away episodes 1 and 2 from people's library's and merged it into the 1 game(Meaning if you bought the base game and the episodes separately, you've just lost money), and didn't seem to fully think it through.

The whole thing is just Half-Baked, and a disappointment. Has barely brought any enhancements and just seems like a mess. Thanks, valve!

I knew someone would ask. It was unintentional at first, but then I went with it.
