Well I found out how to fix it. Unfortunately it seems all saves made in the original version of the game are just screwed. You'll have to restart the game from chapter 2 and just go along from there. Shouldn't be too hard, retracing my steps only took like 10-15 minutes and then the game behaved as expected after that. Annoying but not the end of the world.

Im encontering a different bug in the same place where alyx is supposed to do something with the mine but she does nothing and I can't progress... I guess i'll restart aswell its pretty early in the game
