They are re adding the achievements to HL2

valve didnt take anything away, the episodes are still available with hl2, they merged them and the standalone one are now listed as tools in your library

You earned 100% achievements for HL2 and you still have them all. I don't really want to spoil the fun, but nobody cares if this entry in your library has 100% achievements or not. Nor does it matter.
You can unlock them all in 1 second if you feel a need to do so and refuse to complete Episodes again.

Countless parents are now spending their evenings in a hospital, watching over their children who are terminally ill with cancer.
Valve merging Episodes with the HL2 base game isn't a massive issue. Trust me on that.

The moment you launch half life 2 you unlock all the achievements you've already unlocked on the Episodes..

yes they are making ep1 and ep2 as tools removes them from your profile as completed achievements for the achievement showcase now we have to do them again in base game BUT that means our achievement showcase will only show 1 game instead of 3
