No HDR option on Mac
Hello everyone! I'm using a MacBook Air with the new(ish) Intel HD 5000 GPU, and the option for HDR just isn't there. The option for shadow detail only goes to medium, though strangely enough it goes to high if I run Windows 7.
Say what you will about integrated chipsets, but it's annoying that I can't run this old game on the highest settings despite the fact that I can run Far Cry 3 and most UE3 Engine games well enough. I can also run HDR on Lost Coast perfectly fine, which is just flat out strange.
I've used the
+mat_dxlevel 95 +mat_hdr_enable 1 +mat_hdr_level 2
console command and others like it but I just get "HDR off."
Suggestions?

I'm running into a similar problem on Linux lately. I tried purging all my config files and doing complete reinstalls with no luck. If anyone else has any help

In Options, Video, Advanced..., are both your Software and Hardware DirectX levels at v9.0 or v9.0+ ? If lower, some options will be disabled. Use this method to update:

In your Games Library, right click on HL2 and select Properties.
Click the "Set Launch Options..." button, and enter -dxlevel 95
Start HL2 once, then clear the launch options.

If that doesn't help, try the same thing with -autoconfig as the launch option.
