stuck at the train yard..there's a train there

I'm playing this through again, for some reason there's a biga55 train the the train yard, if I try and get around it my health goes down by 60%...twice..i'm stuck..any ideas?

That happened to me too, the first time I played HL2. I made it to the other side with 2 Health left

I think I found some suit or health charger and tried again and again.. Made it with 2 health left. Btw, try to restart the game and/or Steam.

At the start, when you get to the train yard, you just need to run on through. There are going to be combine Civil Protection officers shooting at you. Just use the environment for cover best you can, and otherwise ignore them. There are quite a few place in HL2 where you need to learn that when you are outgunned, it is often better to avoid the enemy than engage them.

When the train comes, either run towards it or away, then to the side and move off to the side, so it can pass.

Once it's passed, continue through the level. You will have to go through 2 of the train cars, both red. The first one you go through the other side, the second to the roof. After you are on the roof, jump across to the other side of the fence. (I know, HL2 has a LOT of points of no return like this.)
