How to destroy helicopter when I only have pistol and crowbar
Hey,

I haven't played HL2 ever before so I figured I would get it and enjoy a classic. I"m kind of at an impass with fighting the helicopter when I only have a pistol and a crowbar. Anyone know how I can destroy this annoying helicopter?

You can't. Later you will get a rocket launcher and a minigun, only with them.

Are you on Water Hazard? Just zip on past the heli as fast as you can, and later on in the game your airboat will be equipped with a minigun capable of destroying the copter.

Also, when you receive the rocket launcher and start trying to take down gunships, make sure your target doesn't shoot down your rockets. Swirl it around a bit and then hit it from the side/back or below.

-You'll see what I mean by swirling.

I'm in the "route canal." Where it is just you against the chopper. There seem to be NO other weapons anywhere I can see and no way out of the area.

It’s funny. I remember playing HL1 for the first time and my shock followed by a sense of awe when I realized that I couldn’t kill everything at a first meeting.

When I finally got a rocket launcher and shot a helicopter down, that was a moment of great satisfaction.
