Edit: not to mention if people wanted to graphically overhaul HL2, there's mods on the workshop that do just that and are better optimized than an official port, including someone porting the graphical assets of HL:A into HL2 and those assets were supposedly done in Source 2!
LOL. Only console users care about storage space.
I didn't realize there was a HL2 RTX game ready driver I installed it today and its definitely running better even when I use the Ultra preset, as long as I use DLSS Performance mode, it's kind of impressive how much better Performance mode looks with DLSS 4 transformer model vs DLSS 3.
Forgive me, I was wrong.
I couldn't imagine this optimization and quality disaster.
Will it only be possible to play the game on a 5090? Can I play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in ultra quality without any problems, and it doesn't even run at 30 fps?
Sorry, but I'll play it when I buy the next-gen PC around 2027 or 2028.
This version isn't worth it unless you have the most powerful PC available today.
Too bad, since I'm not going to buy a 5090 even if I'm drunk.
Yes, I agree, it's better to wait since we have no problems playing everything today and surely until the new generation comes out, it won't change until 2028.
Apology accepted. I have a 4090. If you find one with a good price by a miracle, that might be an option.
I saw it earlier today. Good video.
Not at all, it's not like that. If you know how to buy, what you're talking about will never happen to you. A good PC will last you about 10 years playing everything without problems, and in 10 years, you can't save up for a good PC?
I bought mine in mid-2018 and it was top-of-the-range. I spent around 3,000 euros with everything: PC, peripherals, and a 40-inch screen. I can still play everything in ultra quality at 60 fps without problems, and I don't plan on changing it until the next generation comes out around 2027 or 2028.
That's 10 years of uninterrupted use playing everything.
Long live the PC.
