Read the source, mate.
Yes, I've seen it, but it's the same old thing. The same thing happened with Indiana Jones and Microsoft Flight Simulator, that it doesn't perform well, that your PC won't be able to, and blah, blah, blah. It was just smoke and mirrors trying to sell you new hardware. Doesn't it run well on a 5090? Surely it's a problem with the GPU, not the game.
You do realize that you're saying contradictory things, right? Anyway, you do you. I'm out. lol
Edit: also the mentioning of a "Mod" being classified as "DLC" doesn't exactly give it good optics to work with from the word go!
I'm not promoting anything, I'm not getting paid or fed, for those of us who like it it will be good and for those of us who don't, well no, but remember it's totally FREE for those of us who have the game.
Oh my goodness, you won't lose anything, since you get the update version completely free, and the RTX version will be for the regular version.
You have no idea.
The only person that has "no idea" is you M8 because this wouldn't be the first time Valve copied from Blizzard.
Valve releases Artifact trying to cash in on the trend that Blizzard started with Hearthstone, only to have that backfire.
Valve releases Deadlock's beta trying to cash in on the trend from Overwatch (another Blizzard title) and that's already backfiring for them.
Valve's still going to be at fault for if HL2 RTX flops just like Reforged and Overwatch 2 because they gave it the OK to go through.
You bore me, think first, exist later.
Anyway, I'm sure it will run fine with the RT settings tuned down a bit. You don't have to completely max out the settings.
Creeped me the f out.
Anyone with a political PFP is an insta block these days. Big red flag.
As for the visuals, it seems to have that UE5 toonemapper style washed out look, with materials being overly glossy, lights being overblown and everything being way too foggy. Not a fan.
You say it has nothing to do with Valve, when without their approval this RTX version would never exist. And if you're not a fan and don't like it, that's fine. You don't have to, but for those of us who like this game, it's a gift from heaven, completely free. I don't understand the criticism. If it had been a paid game, I don't know what you would have said.
From here, I want to thank the creators of this RTX version for their selfless work and good work so that we can all enjoy this version without paying a cent.
Thank you very much.
