Proof that the ESRB is dumb.

I was bored, so I went on the ESRB website and started looking up random games. I died laughing when I got to Half Life 2. Here's the rating:

Rated: M

Resons: Intense Violence, Gore

Other: Online Interations

Publisher: Electronic Arts

Well, you need to get a Steam account and client to play the game. Back when the game was released, this was really uncommon.

I get that steam accounts may not have been common at the time the game was released, but they still could have at least gotten the publisher right.

Depending on which version you’ve looked up, the information is correct, since EA acts as publisher for the console versions.

And yes,Publisher was Electronic Arts.
It was before it was launched on steam.

Synergy and Deathmatch were not released during the time. Also Synergy is a mod and Deathmatch is its own standalone title.
