Half-Life 2 S-K-I-D-R-O-W Error Startup :(
Every time I want to launch HL2, it always pops up a error on startup saying:
AppId is not configured. Can someone help me?
(Also, it happend this month! and HL1, Blue Shift, and Opposing Force! D:)

He may have cracked it, but that doesn't mean he pirated it. I cracked GTA4 because GFWL is horrible. Plus, he has HL2 in his steam library.

Delete Local Content.

Happy for you, dude! Ignore the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Cracking is legal and fine. DRM is stupid, anti consumer, and only hurts people who legally buy the media.

Not necessarily. There are many titles in my library that I can launch without Steam even though I downloaded from Steam. Developers can use Steamworks for DRM, but just because a title is on Steam does not mean that it has DRM.

You misunderstood, Steam IS DRM. Regardless of whether you can launch them without Steam.
