[SOLVED]HELP! BLACK TEXTURES on SteamLinux.
I'm just got a linux mint installation, and went a downloaded SteamLinux.


When I run the game, all the textures except for the skybox are black. Even Gman's face in the very beginning of the game is just a bunch of reflective maps, all black textures.

Paste this into Terminal to fix.


sudo apt-get install libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0 libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0:i386

I got a fix for most users if you run into this problem. Copypasta this into Terminal.

sudo apt-get install libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0 libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0:i386

Whenever I type this in, it say it can't find libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0. Is this a particular file in HL2? And on another note, would this work with other games like HL2-EP1/2, CSS and GMod?
