Defiant Achievement Not Unlocking

I have almost all of the achievements but one, the defiant achievement. I played the game again and did the task to unlock it but the achievement did not unlock. Is there a glitch and what do I need to do?

Try it again, start a new game, load a previous save.

Same problem here, Done it a whole bunch of times now, new campaign, reloading. Nothing seems to work.

Does the Defiant achievement show as unlocked if you look at the in-game achievements list? There is a fix involving renaming the gamestate.txt file, and then replaying.

save/load, start new game, reinstall game nothing help me. defiant the last achievment wont popup me. i try everything on my PC. i install the steam to mine notebook (second PC) , because hdd broke, login, then i try hl2 and i throw the can to the soldier and it popup. maybe some users have only problems with the steam, not game. i solved mine problem that way.
