DOG's "Ball"

I have been replaying HL2 and I forgot that dogs "ball" the disabled rowler mine will follow you, so using the Gravity Gun i'm moving it where it can't go, i'm gonna try to go as far as I can in HL2 with it. xD I'm currently in Ravenholm, and it will also kill headcrabs. 0_0 Did anybody else do this when they played?

yup - you have to throw it in an unusual tragectory to get it over the fence before you properly meet Father Grigori (before you jump in Gregori's cart) There are a few how-to's out there. Save the game before you throw the ball. You will attempt it more than once and you only have one ball. I don't know if this has been patched or not, but I managed to get the ball all the way to the Nova Prospect chapter. There's a point where you have to go through a window and fight the second ant lion king but the ball will not go through the window.

It is my life long quest to bring that ball all the way to the end. My first attempt was about 6 years ago. I got as far as that same window and never found a way to get it through. tried again 2 years after on the original xbox version, thinking maybe they didnt put it in on that version, but no luck. ive read other articles were people have glitched it and themselves through the ceiling, but you still cant get it any further i believe. It is still a fun adventure though, and its why i love that thing more than anyone could ever love companion cube.
