Also, the game would have been completly banned in Australia and Germany and have gotten a much higher ESRB rating thingy.
Oh yea, I had forgotten about the Combine attempt's to prevent human breeding. That actually makes the lack of child zombies completely logical within the game's context. Still, that isn't actually the case anymore fallowing episode 2, so future Half-life games could have child zombies!
As for ratings, you do realize that the Dead Space games have EXPLODING CHILDREN in it, right?

Combine never made it impossible for people to have sex, they just made sure that no children could result from it.
Actually, IIRC, the suppression field both suppresses the urge to procreate and "pauses" the reproductive functions of making Earth's citizens, in case anyone actually tries to.
