Half-Life 2: Episode Two bug - FOV stuck after combine advisor cutscene

I recently encountered a bug in Chapter 4, Riding Shotgun. After reaching the car on the bridge, I couldn’t get inside. I tried bypassing the issue by increasing the crowbar's power to an absurd level and launching the car to the other side, but it still wouldn’t start. So, I continued on foot.

However, when I reached the hut with the Combine Advisor, the cutscene forced a reduced FOV, and I couldn’t change it.

Has anyone else found this issue before?
