Why won't the vortigaunt talk to Gordon or grab the bugbait in the antlion guard bossfight?

So I kill the Antlion Guard, which doesn't do It's death animation and just ragdolls, then the vortigaunt comes out and just stands there staring at me like a dumbass. How do I fix this? I have verified the game files, uninstalled all mods, and it still happens

Update broke this chapter it seems. I hope more people bring this to Valve's attention so that it can be fixed in the future.

I just played to this game twice and that part is not broken work just fine.
Just uninstalling mods does not always work some mods change your save file so even if you uninstall it you may still have a problem.
That's why it says use mods at your own risk.

Had the same issue. I can guarantee it's some kind of bug with Script Multiloader and or Serverside Ragdolls because uninstalling both mods and loading the map through console fixed it.
