But I was able to use W and S to control the vertical angle of the camera by first setting cl_mouselook 0 (which can't be done while connected to the game, so maybe you should put this in your autoexec.cfg file before starting the game)
and then once you're in a game just type +klook in the console and the W and S will do what you want, which you can rebind to other keys of course. (and it can be turned off with -klook)
