Half-life 2 MODS on MAC
Hi guys I have a question.
is it possible to add Half-life 2 mods like smod Realism to a mac?

Some Mods are running under mac without problems. I Would give it a try...

well i swa now the sdk 2013 which supports mac too

I installed silent escape 1.1 (take a look at thread) and kopied it over to Linux, renaming the GameInfo.txt to gameinfo.txt and it workred great.

it was a nice mod, good campaign.
but mods like smod tactical wont work thats a shame. or are ther other ways?

No smod brings some binarys with the mod. They only works with windows.
There are some Mods without windows dlls. After a bit editing config files they are worth a try.
I plan to make other mods (without Windows bin's) Linux capable, than you can try them on your mac.

Well... Get a illegal copy of hl2 wine ported or use parrals desktop land install windows

There is no need for an illegal copy to run the WIndows version of the game with Wine. Just install the Windows Steam client using Wine (disable dwrite.dll to fix the missing text bug), then use that to install and run HL2. I have only tested this on Linux, though. Source engine games run quite well, but multi-core rendering needs to be disabled.
