Air boat gone Missing in Water Hazard

Hi all, I am (guessing) about half way through the Water Hazard level, beginning of the Gate5 where I had 'docked' it and gotten off of it to open the gate. I saved the game (or maybe it was an auto save). In either case now when I load the game back up the air boat is gone, missing, no-where to be found. Real bummer because how the heck am I supposed to complete the level?
Any ideas on getting the boat back? Is using a cheat code the only way?

oh noes :( you have to swim..

try to use earlier save if it's not too far

Hi there, I have the same problem (I can't find the airboat anywhere when I am done with the helicopter part, on the platform). Did you manage to continue the level ? I tried with the cheat code but couldn't go really far as we are supposed to have our airboat improved - and it was quite impossible to resist without firing some bullets.

I haven't played the HL2 game vanilla or update in nearly 3 yrs, I just played thru vanilla Water Hazard the normal way, (default route) up to the chopper at gate 5. Instead of making my way back along the previous route once the chopper bugged out I ran along the dock, jumped the rail and swam to the boat.

Have any of you installed one of the HL2 mods?
Have you had cheats turned on and or shut it/them down during this or the previous chapter?

Could be bad memory but the game does look to me like it got an update, the colors seem crisper. Hope somebody can figure this out

Maybe playthrough the game again, that might help.

If not, reinstall it and then install it, probably because of bad memory because maybe the model wasn't included because you had bad memory.

Playing HL2 for the first time and I'm having this exact problem. I don't exactly remember where I parked it before Gate 5 but it seems to be gone. My only prior save is basically at the start of the game. Not impressed.

just use ch_createairboat in console, no sv_cheats required.

Heard of it happen sometimes but never experienced it myself.
