Game Won't Start Properly [FIXED]

Basically, when HL2 is started, the opening music plays but I just get a black box for that tab. If I minimize and re-open the tab, it gets smaller. If I spam-click the box, it reads "HALF LIFE 2" but nothing happens.

No, I can open TF2 and GMod just fine.

EDIT: FIXED

I typed "-autoconfig" in the launch options and it loaded. It still boots up now that I've reset the launch options.

Alright, so I just typed -autoconfig in the launch options and now it works. It still works now that I've cleared the launch options.

I won't delete this, just so it's open for anyone who also had this problem.

I've been having the same problem recently. And it does the same thing with other half life games. And I recently downloaded Star Wars Old Republic and it does the same thing. Several of my games work just fine.
I even tried to download SWTOR through their website and run it and it does the same thing. Acts like it is starting up, the "Play" button turns blue and says "Stop" like it's getting ready to launch the game, then it goes back to green "Play" and never even boots the games up.
I turn on Task Manager and it says the games aren't running.
Tried verifying the integrity of the files and updating drivers and running as an administrator or running in compatibility mode and nothing helps.
Just tried typing -autoconfig in the launch options and that didn't help either.
