20 years after the release I really doubt it.

There's always a chance we might for the 20th anniversary update, but I kinda doubt it'll happen

Because I would like to see graphical enhancements, bug fixes and more featured in that workshop, so I can easily install all of them when I install the game. Like I'm subscribed to Arma 3 mods or L4D2, when I install it, all the mods I like get installed.

Gmod is just a sanbox game which will get overshadowed by S&box

ah... so you want a workshop just to make the game ""better""... im personally 100% against this, i want to play games on the most original experience, but ok that are your reasons... ... you know there are mods exactly for that on internet? if you search on google...

I see it as trying to have the best possible experience for the money. Many games are just meh without mods. Mods in Half-Life made Counter-strike happen. It is usually quite a deal breaker for me if there is no mod support. Since after many years, there still might be bugs and community fixes for them.
I do know, I went through the games list on Moddb yesterday. But that is something I would need to manually install.

Well for me personally add mods to old games is like go in a museum and repaint a painting better... They probably arrest you, i play games in the most original way possible, and if i don't like something i will not mod it, the game is this... But that is me... Counter strike was not a mod to make half life better, it was another game on the same engine, that is what gmod is... To make new things with the source engine...

For me, I had a fun experience in Fallout 4 still with it being a ♥♥♥♥ game, I added mods that would contemplate and fix the game.

Fallout 4 is something else, mods have more sense there... Half life 2 is a linear campaign, and it is a piece of art too, half life 2 is half life 2... Fallout 4 is totally something else, mods have more meaning there

They couldn't even be bothered to give the story a closure.
