a certain mod, half-life 2: overcharged, recently had its 2.0 update. one of the largest problems with this update was its lighting, as the sun would bleed through (or leak through) map geometry. this was because it was compiled on the multiplayer branch of the dev sdk, not the singleplayer branch.
when youtuber noclick got around to making his video on the 2.0 update, he pointed out every single instance of the sun bleeding through the geometry, all accompanied by the phrase "the sun is leaking". his video got massive traction due to him being blocked out from playing the mod on his main steam account, leading many to hear the phrase and start quoting it, causing the phrase "the sun is leaking" to be a new meme in the valve modding community.
But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that ban scriipt is the next level of salt from devs
that scary moment when you realise the sun is constantly leaking energy and will extinguish itself in a few billion years, according to astronomers
