how do i get past water hazard (half life 2)

i am stuck in the helicopter chase. i get chased into 2 ways. one way is blocked by lots of ships, the other is blocked off by a massive door. what do i do?

Watch YouTube play through videos or go to one of the gaming sites that have walk-through's for players, like IGN. Do you not have access to Google?

For the default play, head right you'll fid a mooring spot and a door.

Non default, bear right stop against the sewer pipe, hop out shoot the BG, get back in, move over to the raised railing and back up to the spot with the break in the railing. Jump into the water then 180 swim back to the nose of the boat then keep hopping up till you land on the walkway then locate the control room

Drive the boat

You need to reload the chapter to a point where you're in the building with the boat-elevator that you lower. Once on the lower level, make sure you exit in the correct direction, as it allows you to go out either side. One side leads to the large smokestacks that will be destroyed by the helicopter - this is the normal route and the one you will find in the walk-throughs. The other side leads to a random stretch of water that has no exit. This is where I think you are. I found myself in this random stretch earlier today and kept thinking that it didn't look at all familiar.
