Gordon can't walk properly. help!

While playing the half life 2 (over 21491 times )
I noticed that GORDON FREEMAN! (WITH HIS SEXY H.E.V Suit!!) can't walk / go up stairs normally he gets blocked by a INVISIBLE WALL, you need to jump for every damn piece of ♥♥♥♥ step oh yeah and sometimes you can't climb ladders Gordon stucks and doesn't want to leave it you need to spam JUMP button . Alright one more, after crouching even if you stopped pressing the Ctrl Gordon Freeman keeps crouching. YOU NEED TO JUMP again to avoid crouching!! wth?!!?!?

Is there any way to fix this? if there is please tell me :c


(edit: I fixed it just by deleting "steam_appid" folder in the game files, then redownloading the game )

Did you bind "toggle_duck" to the Ctrl key?

Go to Options > Keyboard, and assign the Ctrl key to the normal Duck (crouch) control.

If your crouch is not stopping, that means you're in an area where you can't stand properly. Gordon will automatically crouch and stay crouched until he can stand up again.

If you want to stick to a ladder, press E on it. Gordon will get on by himself. If you want to get off, look at a walkable area and press E again, not only will Gordon get off, but he'll try to get off where you were looking at.

If crouch really is stuck, and it's not set to toggle, your CTRL key is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Consider a new keyboard. I assume you know about sticky keys, and have disabled it.

First, I'm in the middle of the city 17, I crouched once then boom can't stand up again I'm not in the damn piece of ♥♥♥♥ vents or little square shaped box but thanks anyways.

Also my ctrl button is fine thank you, for ladders didn'T worked but thanks again.

Well it isn't a problem for anyone else. If it's a problem for you, it's undoubtedly on your end. Dunno what it might be, only you can figure it out with some troubleshooting. Hope you can get it fixed.
