in the black mesa east chapter during when the combine invade the place with alyx, gordon, and dog going to the coast until when the ceiling falls down making alyx send gordon to ravenholm why couldnt dog just move or push the rubble out the way? edit: typo

ig dog carries big monolithic stuff well but digs very poorly. place's being blown apart and you don't even know how much concrete's actually piling from above. when alyx wants to both save her father and hide gordon from the cumbine, ravenholm might have been a better plan than waiting.

though tbh i did find it funny how she sends gordon alone and tells dog to join her. like apparently the whole base needed everyone together more than gordon needing a little hand surviving an infamously infested area.

They wanted you to go through a zombie-infested town as part of the gameplay but from story perspective, it's probably because Alyx forgot about Dog. I also didn't think much about the possibility of Dog lifting those debris when I first reach that part so I guess Alyx must've not thought about it too so you're forced to go through the single worst place near city 17.

But it is not a problem at all, Gordon was never stranded in Ravenholm with those zombies, those zombies were stranded there with him..

iirc alyx literally ordered dog to "circle around" and join her after dropping gordon by the ravenholm entrance. really feels she planned the bot to just not go there.
