Half-Life 2 Theory: The Combine are Aliens

IMPORTANT: I HAVE NEVER PLAYED HALFLIFE 1 OR HL2 EP.1 EP.2

EDIT: This discussion was made before i knew about half life 2 ep 1 and 2 :P


Have you ever wandered who 'The Combine', 'Overwatch', or 'Civil Protection really are? Well i have a possible answer for you...

What first prompted my theory that the Combine are aliens is the 'Combine Portal'. At the end of the game when Dr.Breen is ready to go through the portal, you hear Dr.Breen say that he will go to another universe. Obviously meaning alien universe.

Did you notice that creature that Dr.Breen talks to through the monitor screen? Its obviously an alien. Could this be the true Combine leader?

Another thing ive noticed is that in the Chapter 'Black Mesa East', when you enter the airlock you hear Judith say: "Okay, its human." If the Combine didn't exist, she probably wouldnt have said that, again prompting the alien theory.

Also, in the Nova Prospekt chapter, when you see Judith in the building through the monitor screen with Alyx, she is, of course, talking to Dr.Breen, but one line that Dr.Breen says got my attention: "We werent entirely sure you were ever going to get to that(refering to Judith) Human loyaltys being what they are." Notice how Dr.Breen says 'Human loyaltys'. He probably wouldnt of said that if the Combine didn't exist.

One more thing; have you noticed all the advanced technology in City 17? I believe that all the advenced technology came from the Combine(the aliens)

By the way, who are these 'Benefactors' that Dr.Breen speaks of? You guessed it. Aliens.

My final conclusion on why i think the Combine are extraterrestrial, is because they are wearing gas masks. I believe they are wearing them because the oxygen is poisous to them.

Do any of you people out there agree with me? Is there more evidence that i missed? Tell me in the comments below.

The Combine is an interdimentional empire, the Overwatch Soldiers are Transhuman, and Civil Protection officers are just normal citizens who either wanted more power, bettr housing, or better food

Thanks for your thought :) I sort of noticed that normal people can become a part of the "group" if they want to. Maybe its a mix of aliens and humans that joined them?

I dont understand why there is halflfe 2, and then there is halflife 2 ep.1 and halflife 2 ep.2. It does not make sense.

It also has some humans who have agreed to work for them (Civil Protection) for whatever reason, and biomechanically enhanced humans who are part of the Overwatch, the ones who wear the suits and gasmask.

i did not play ep 1 or ep 2. is ep 1 and 2 supposed to be a prequel to the actual half life 2?

Those are available in game (HL2).

The soliders ARE (this isn't a theory OP) transhuman.
They implant several devices into their skin to remove their free will, and they liquify their organs to prevent things like needing to go to the bathroom, and eating.

The Civil-Protection are ONLY Humans.
The reason they sound so weird is because they have voice changers and they too live normal civilian lives, and if you were pushing around people you knew, you wouldn't want them to find out.

The Combine themselves are a collective species of different Aliens that were conquered and enslaved overtime, as it says so in Raising the Bar and it's pretty evident with the Synths (Strider, Hunter, Dropship, etc.) that they are different beings.

OP, none of this you are saying is a Conspiracy, or theory, it's cold hard fact.

Also the fact you haven't even play Episode 1 or 2, further proves the fact.

I also don't think you payed much attention to the story, nor played Half-Life 1.
They say many times over and over that the combine came to earth and took it in seven hours, and even at the end, they talk about going to the combine's dimension.

Yes.
Episode 1 is the aftermath (you are still gordon in all of then) of the portal explosion.
Episode 1 is about the reactor of the citadel going critical after the explosion and you must evacuate and some serious plot points happen that I wont spoil.

Episode 2 is the fight back.
After waking up on a crashed train (from the citadel's erruption), you an Alyx head off to White Forest to give Eli and Kleiner something important, stuff happens, and then a big plot twist at the end which leads people to really want Half-Life 3.

I really recommend you buy them.
They are canon to the story (Valve made them for god's sake).

Dude HL2 was too short and valve couldent make a HL3 so they had to split it in episodic parts :/ But the series isnt finished yet they are still making HL3/HL2 ep 3

Yes.

In the first game you cause the resonance cascade letting guess what ALIENS on earth, in the end you kill the nihilanth, thus letting the combine take the border world and then come to earth and take it over, they are aliens from a different dimention no matter how close to russian SWAT the metro police do seem to look like, they are aliens from another dimention, your theory isnt a theory at all, its just part of the MAIN STORYLINE.
