Vehicle sections

Why do people not like the boat and car sections? I loved them myself, and everyone is entilted to an opinion, but just interested in why people don't like them.

Most go on for too long and, in my opinion, are pretty lifeless and boring.

Oh okay, I didn't find them boring at all and actually really fun, but different strokes for different folks I guess.

I do have to admit though: They're a hell of a lot better than Quake 4's Vehicle sections

I have never played Quake 4, so I can't make a comparison. Apart from the vehicle sections you mentioned, is the game any good in your opinion?

The Boat section is a bit over long and poorly paced in comparson with the rest of the game and it's expansions so it's generally considered to be the weakest level (though it's not straight up "bad" of course).

The highway section with the buggy on the other hand is excellent, it's a nice bridge between Ravenholm and Nova Prospekt that allows you to slow down and explore at your own pace. It's not even really a vehicle section as you spend most of your time out of the car exploring, the car itself is just a means of transport between encounters.

I agree with you about the buggy section, but I found there were plenty of areas to explore in the boat section as well.

Yeah there is but the difference is most of Water Hazard is supposed to be a chase, your being pursued with a sense of constant urgency. However in the level itself you are constantly stopping and starting, this hurts the level's pacing. Don't get me wrong, it's okay, it just feels poorly paced in comparson with the rest of the game.

i liked the boat sections they were like full of action and you had to dodge this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ choppers bombs n ♥♥♥♥ its cool
