how to unlock 300 fps limit in singleplayer hl2
for new hardware test ( i5 12600 and 6600XT)

open the console
type disconnect then type fps_max 0 and load a map

after the patch , the steam deck was apparently fixed . it didn't work before

Try to play in a borderless window if you can, there are oddities with alt-tabbing while in fullscreen.
