Nova Prospekt - Bugged button?

Hey all.

Just wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue - I'm trying to open this gate using the button but it won't open.

I've tried reloading a save game but still nothing.

Is this a bug or am I being dumb and missing something within the game?

Here is a screenshot of the bit I'm up to. Please help :(

iirc that is the button opening the door. is a bug.

There have been a number of save related glitches in the game, in the past when I got one I did go back to the previous save, when that didn't work I kept loading earlier saves aand playing forward, (I did not save in the same places as previous).

Once an error is saved, it is incorporated in all later saves. At worst, suggest restarting the chapter. Pretty sure at the point you're at in NP, the chapter is logged and available.

Yeah, that happened to me on the bridge section. The game would crash when I opened the door to get on the bridge, but once I reloaded from an earlier save it worked.

This worked! Thank you very much. I loaded a save game a while back and boom, button worked.

If you still have the older save, check the gate and see if any physics object is blocking the gate. Typically the turret leg used to block the door from opening (seems similar issue in your screenshot).

I never really thought about this this! Thank you. Another potential solution if anyone else gets stuck here.
