Chronological order: Blue Shift, Decay, Half-Life 1, Opposing Force, Half-Life Alyx, Half-Life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2
The start times between the first 3 are only a couple minutes apart.
Go with release order. And you can substitute Half-Life 1 with Black Mesa. Avoid Half-Life Source. Decay was originally released as part of the Half-Life 1 Playstation 2 port but has since been released as a mod for Half-Life 1 and is designed to be played with 2 people; although the mod can be played as single player by swapping which character you are in control of.
