Trying to install Underhell
I've been trying to install the Underhell mod, but it won't appear in my steam library. I have the 2007 SDK base installed, I extracted the Underhell folder to my sourcemods folder, and I restarted steam. I followed all the steps I needed to take, but for some reason, Underhell hasn't shown up in my steam library. When I looked through the Underhell folder, I couldn't even find an executable. Is there something I did wrong or is there something extra I have to do?

source mods don't have .exes, make sure it has a gameinfo.txt

I do have the gameinfo.txt. Does the SDK also have to be downloaded into the same drive?

i believe so, did you download it into another?

Yes. I fixed the problem but I still can't find Underhell anywhere in my library. Keep in mind I already had Underhell downloaded when I uninstalled the SDK base and reinstalled it into my c drive (Underhell had also been extracted into the c drive). Do I need to have the SDK base installed before I extract the Underhell file?

i think so.

@Rorschach Underhell runs on SMOD so you will need to install SMOD standalone http://bsnooch.com/forums/index.php?topic=1360.0 then after that put Underhell into the mods folder of SMOD standalone then use the launcher to play the mod.

@BaconBacoon I tired it with the SMOD but even that is not working.
its not showin in my library, even though all is correctly installed.

SMOD does launch it, but crashes it with two warnings, saying a entrypoint for a shader was not found.

Anymore Ideas?

@Lucky Luke I wrote that comment two years ago and it's not correct at all. (Man, I was real dumb back then..!)

Install Underhell into the "sourcemods" folder then restart your Steam and it should be there.

Okay so I definatley got everything right. For me theres also a cfg and bin folder in that last picture.
I do as the instruction say and I do as you showed. I even redownloaded the whole file from a different mirror. Nothing changed.
The game wont show up.

Oh my god i fixed it.
So I was trying to Install it in the D: folder, but it is supposed to go into the C: folder.
Because my Steam is on a different drive.
That was the whole magic. It works now.

Ah, glad you fixed it! Have fun! Also the mod itself can crash randomly at times or at least it happens to me a couple of times during my playthroughs.

You can install sourcemods on an external HD like i have done, i keep all my games on my D drive, you just need to create a virtual link between the folders. i can try find the link for instructions, its really as simple as entering a line of code in .cmd and pressing enter boom. lets you install tons of sourcemods on external HD
