You do you.
Heresy.
I'm reporting this to the authorities.
The story of hl2 was, as I said earlier, retconned from hl1. Almost nothing but Easter eggs and the characters have any relation to Black Mesa.
HL2 May push the story forward by about 20 but it’s events are still strongly connected to the first game, which still happened as depicted.
Which events?
Spoilers? Just make that run in Hl1 then go to 2 and you will get it ^^
1. The game is over a decade old
2. You didn’t answer the question even though you attempted to answer a question that wasn’t directed at you.
But i replied anyway.. For players that havent played theres spoilers, doesnt matter if the game is 100 years old, is the same as a movie from the 70's i havent watched and you come tell me whats all about it.. meh movie loose some interest knowing what happen.. But you are right.. will let the person you ask for it to give you a better straight answer.. have fun ~~
See the difference about movies and games is that with movies, the entire movie hinges on the plot. Where as a game is a more gameplay based. If you play a game for the plot, then just watch a movie instead.
Also, sovereign could just DM me.
If you don't care about plot then that's your prerogative, same goes for the OP. But please don't act like that narrow view of videogames is the only correct one.
Games are an excellent and far more versatile storytelling medium then film has ever been. Plot, character, world, atmosphere, artstyle, these are what make a game, just as much, if not more so, then gameplay. Without any of these a game is little more then cold, soulless mechanics, even if they are well made mechanics they are still disposable. Those things I listed aren't required to make a fun game, but they are what elevates a game above being a mere toy. Half-Life became famous for how it evolved interactive storytelling in action games, not just because it's fun to shoot aliens.
Also, for the record, not all films hinge on plot either.
Anyway that's just my 2 cents, hope I didn't talk your ear off. Also what do you mean by "DM me"?
