Report a translation problem
1) Half-Life Alyx is not Half-Life 3, it does not continue the story from HL2:EP2, it isn't even the third HL game, it's a prequel to HL2
2) Valve built an entirely new engine, but the leak suggests it would use the current source engine, at the time.
3) HL3's script was leaked, we already know how it was planned, and with Gordon Freeman as the main character it wouldn't make sense for Alyx to be playable.
4) Lastly, it is considered a rumour even by the people at that time period, the word "rumor" (US spelling) is clearly visible. So it wasn't even something confirmed. Which means:
5) The largest problem with this being a "prediction" is that Half-Life 3 was big for a lot of people all over the world, and everyone was saying all sorts of crazy things, as such if one of them lines up with reality, then that's just naturally following the laws of probability more than anything else.
