how do I port Npcs in half life source to half life 2

I was wondering about one question.How can I port half life source NPCs (or half life 1 npcs) into half life 2 and spawn them in the game? Esclation did this in his video talking about prospekt (the mod) where he
added a bullsquid into half life 2. And thats cool,however I don't know how to add half life 1 npcs into half life 2 so can someone help me?
