Weapon selection system change for no reason?

So I'm currently in Entanglement, and coming out of Nova Prospekt, my gun selection UI changed. It's now no longer HL1 style, but instead you blindly cycle through items until you stumble upon what you need. Half the time my crowbar won't even appear. Between the grenade and the pheropod is what looks like a weapon quick select, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Do you have fast weapon swap enabled? It should be under "advanced" in the control tab.

That was it, thanks. No idea how that happened, it was normal yesterday. I just booted it up and there it was. Maybe it had something to do with installing HL2 Update? Whatever, thank you.

I have fast swap enabled and never had an issue sounding like the one you had. Frankly fast swap saved my bacon too many times to count

The "weapon switch" was probably set to the gamepad default, and the RPG was probably out of ammo. Did you have a controller/gamepad connected recently?
